Metal Band Seals
Metal band seals are fixed length seals, which create a 3 inch loop. Constructed of tinned galvanized steel, these seals are used for trucks, trailers, railcars and a wide range of other applications.
Our stock metal band seals feature a unique pre-assigned consecutive serial number and they are embossed with the word "SECURED".

Choosing A Metal Band Seal
The globe band seals provide more security. They feature a double locking mechanism and a higher break strength compared to the flat band seals. These seals require a hand tool for removal.
Flat seals are intended for low security applications where economy and convenience are top priorities. These seals can be removed without tools.
Metal band seals are durable in extreme weather conditions.
For electrical applications, consider plastic band seals, which are non conductive.
Plastic band seals feature lower pricing compared to metal band seals.

Installation Instructions
- Thread the loose end into the locking channel
- Push strap until the locking mechanism snaps
- Pull on the strap to confirm the locking mechanism is engaged
Flat band seal removal without tools: To remove without tools, pull on the strap to expose half of the punched hole at the locking channel, then bend the metal (about 5 times) to stress fail the metal strap at the location of the hole.

The globe contains a double locking mechanism, which provides higher security than the flat design. The globe seals have a higher break strength (100 lbs) compared to the flat seals (50 lbs). These seals require a hand tool for removal.
